Windermere Kids opened in January 2012 in Bloor West Village. We pride ourselves in providing a welcoming and nurturing environment. Through our programs and community involvement we have earned the trust and appreciation of parents and kids alike.

In addition to our full-day infant, toddler, and preschool programs, we offer a half-day Nursery School program for preschool-aged children.

Windermere Kids is conveniently located in the heart of Bloor West Village, a quick walk to Jane and Runnymede subway stations.

Please book a tour of the centre to see Windermere Kids in action!

“Both of our girls attended Windermere Kids from beginning to end, ages 1 to 3.5. We had a great experience! The girls adored their caregivers, learned a lot, and had a ton of fun. They were greeted with a warm and joyous welcome every morning and were quick to share all the amazing things they experienced at the end of each day. The safety and best interest of the kids was always a top priority and this was clearly reflected in all elements of the program, i.e. learning curriculum, safety policies, meal plans, staff professionalism, etc. All exceptional.”

I am passionate about connecting with children and families, choosing a career in early childhood education supported that passion as well as creating other opportunities. Upon graduating from George Brown College as an ECE, I worked in several community based childcare centres.

In 2009, I was approached by Green Apple Kids, to be one of their founding teachers and to join a nascent organization with some great ideas.  My journey began as an infant teacher and has culminated to a role as the Director of Windermere Kids in Bloor West Village.

During my time at Windermere Kids I have not only facilitated the growth of the centre with two expansions but I was blessed to have started my own family.

I am the proud mom of a six year old boy who is a former Windermere Kid, and a two year old girl that has joined the Windermere Kids family.  I could not be happier with the love and care she receives on a daily basis.

I am excited to be part of the growing Green Apple Windermere team not only as an educator and director but a parent.

My journey as a RECE at Windermere Kids has been a true example of finding your passion and working towards your dreams.  I’ve always pictured myself working in a classroom and helping people, whether it’s teachers, families, or children reach their potential.  As a graduate of the University of Guelph-Humber in 2008, completing Schulich School of Business Leadership Program and George Brown’s Daycare Management Certificate,  I’ve gained valuable skills with supporting infant, toddler, and preschool programs as well as providing support to colleagues in their own experience as RECEs or ECAs.

I grew up as the youngest of four and immigrated to Canada when I was two years old.  My family has taught me valuable lessons of working hard and supporting one another in all seasons of life.  I have been with the company since 2012 starting as a Preschool teacher. I was fortunate to have to opportunity to open up Windermere Kids’ Nursery School program as In-Program Supervisor and most recently growing my role as Assistant Director for Windermere Kids.

I am continually inspired by Green Apple Kids/Windermere Kids philosophy and ability to provide quality care that encompasses music, drama, dance and outdoor education. Working for Windermere Kids has given me the opportunity to explore my passion in and outside of the classroom. As the Green Apple Kids and Windermere Kids family grows, I am excited and proud to be part of such an amazing team and look forward to what the future has in store.

After 25 years in early childhood education, what I love the most is that no two days are ever alike. As the Director and General Manager, I have the opportunity to spend the day sharing in the successes of an amazing team of educators.

After graduating from Ryerson University, with BAA ECE, I was fortunate to have long term tenures with both large and small sized organizations, based in community settings. I enjoy the engagement within the neighbourhoods and participation within local events and causes.  My role at Green Apple Kids has afforded me the opportunity to work alongside the local police division and community hospital (St. Joseph’s).  Our focus on social engagement and volunteerism is shared enthusiastically with our families and our staff.

When I am not working  in the community of my ‘workplace home’, you can probably find me digging in my garden or hanging out with my family cheering on our home teams!  It has been so great to share that sports addiction with the staff and students here as we have cheered on the Argos to a Grey Cup and the Blue Jays onto a division championship and the Leafs…well… fingers crossed.
